Our Reasons For Giving at GRACE

Whether you are new or already familiar with Grace, we’d like for you to understand the reasons, as followers of Christ, we give. But first you need to understand…

• We don’t give in order to get.
• We don’t give because God needs our money. (However, God spoke through the prophet Malachi “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” Malachi 3:10)
• And we don’t give because GRACE needs your money.

None of those would good reasons to give to the offering…

• We DO give because we have received and giving shows a trust in God, acknowledging that it is from Him that we understand we have received. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17
• And God knows how important our needs are. We know from Scripture that our loyalty is found where our money is invested; And because God wants to be first in our lives, He asks us to trust Him with our money. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
• But it’s also important that our giving is with a heart of Joy. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Thank you for your giving to GRACE. It is important to share that the Leadership at GRACE also tithe (including our Pastors/Elders) setting the example for giving. The Leadership of this Church promises to utilize good stewardship when using them to further the ministry at GRACE.
