Grace Community Christian Fellowship? - What does it mean? 

Or you many be asking yourself, "Is Grace for Me?" Let's find out....

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines "Grace" as...

1 a : unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification

"Grace" is Divine Assistance of God given to anyone who would accept it to receive God's Son, Jesus Christ. So I think it is safe to say - "Yes!", GRACE is for you because Christ is for you!

The Apostle John (one of Jesus' followers) wrote "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)

All those who put their faith in Jesus Christ then have what is look upon as "Fellowship."

Those who have experienced God's "Grace" naturally want to get together with others who have experienced the same; to come together to learn about Him, to worship Him and to grow in serving Him. But no matter your status, class, rank or file - when you become a follower of Jesus Christ, a Christian, you fellowship in ...

3 : a company of equals or friends

Literally, you have become a 'friend' to God and are in the company of equals who love God too.

Another word important word in our name is "Community" - community can impact within the walls of where people fellowship, but more importantly, community takes place outside the walls of where we fellowship and has a positive affect on the area in which we live. 

Grace Community Christian Fellowship (GRACE) is a non-denominational Christian Church in the East Flint/Burton MI area now located in it's first permanent home at 3707 Davison Rd. Our 'offical launch' was April 8, 2007 (Easter Sunday). GRACE had been holding services at Van Y Elementary School and started in the Pastor's home November 2006.

It is our hope and trust that GRACE will be different from other churches. Ideally, GRACE is for those who have a desire to know about Jesus Christ, but might not step a foot into a 'traditional' church. We are a 'flock' of people that desire to know Jesus. If you have never attended a church before, GRACE might just be the kind of place that draws you back! If you are the kind who has given up on "organized religion" - GRACE might be your kind of place too. 

Jesus was "authentic" and His followers should be as well. GRACE will be filled with people who have honestly struggled in life. We know and can relate first hand to the various challenges this life has dealt out to people;

• From the joys and challenges of children to divorce and the heartache it brings.
• GRACE people have a local heritage who know what it is like to be on the working lines at Fisher Body, Buick City, Delphi and Chevrolet
• GRACE knows and understands the challenges of the blue collar worker and their families as well as white collar workers.
• As you know, people make mistakes, but GRACE is filled with people who know that God has the power to rebuild and change lives in dramatic ways - no matter what stage of life we are in.

When birthing this new church, a name was carefully chosen to reflect the potential work that God was going to do. Because of what its Church Planters have experienced and because of what is seen around us eveyday, the word "Grace" came to mind time and time again. People experience so much "Un-Grace" each day that its planters wanted GRACE to be a safe haven where people could be loved (not judged). GRACE teaches about the love God demonstrates toward us and how we can follow and love God in return.

As we continually work to establish Grace Community Christian Fellowship in the Genesee County community, It is our desire to be an earthly demonstration of a Living Book - God's Word, so that hopeless people can have hope in Christ!

When you come for a service the first time, you're not a "visitor" - you are our Guest and we trust that we will be the gracious hosts God called us to be, making you feel that your time at GRACE was special.

So, "Is Grace 4 U?" Absolutely!!!
